BBC Panorama uncovers how Deloitte aided Abramovich in obscuring assets
A BBC Panorama investigation with the Bureau of Investigative Journalism shows Deloitte helped Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich conceal his wealth.
BBC Panorama, in partnership with the Bureau of Investigative Journalism, released a documentary exposing the methods used by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich to conceal his assets.
The investigation identifies Deloitte as a key adviser, providing services that enabled the creation of intricate financial structures designed to hide ownership.
According to the report, these structures involved offshore companies and trusts that obscured the true source of wealth.
The findings raise concerns about the role of professional advisers in facilitating such secrecy and the broader implications for financial transparency.
